There are amusement rides, a garden, a small narrow trail around a small lake inside the premises, water sports, historic remains of a Japanese temple and a war bunker. Just 9 km away from Port Blair Corbyn’s Cove Beach is one of the closest to the city. And is ideal for having a dip in the sea, sunbathing and relaxing. The soft sandy beach is surrounded by coconut palms and makes for a serene atmosphere. In the evening head to one of the most popular attractions – the Cellular Jail. This historical site once home to innumerable personalities of the pre – Independence era is a must visit. It gives an enriching insight into the history of the freedom struggle. There is a light and sound show in the evening which is highly recommended. Or you can just take a tour of the jail in the daytime.

DAY 02:

Just a 4 and half hour journey from Port Blair lies the beautiful paradise of Havelock with gorgeous beaches, lush greenery, and a laid-back environment. The most popular of all Andaman attractions, it’s a must for a true beach vacation, why it even has one of the best beaches in the world. The beaches in Havelock are surprisingly numbered and Radhanagar Beach or Beach #7 is the most beautiful on the island. It is considered the best beach in Asia and also among the top ten in the world. You will love the food and the ambiance.

DAY 03:

Elephant Beach is another gorgeous beach popular with Indian tourists. Although the beach is a fraction of what it used to be because of the 2004 Tsunami,  the coral here is considered the best on the island, making this an excellent spot for snorkeling. It’s accessible on foot from Radhanagar beach or by fishing boat from the east side of the island. Kalapathar beach is situated on one corner of Havelock Island. The beach is fairly isolated and does not get a lot of tourists. As it is not commercialized it’s quite clean but lacks any amenities. The beach gets its name from the surrounding village called Kalapathar Village and the black rocks that adorn the coastline here. With its clean waters, an abundance of coral life and great underwater visibility, the beaches of Havelock make for some great scuba diving opportunities. If you’re interested in such, Barefoot Scuba and Dive India are two reliable operators on Havelock Island. There are limited trips so do book in advance.

DAY 04:

One of the many isolated little paradises in Andaman, Neil island is a lush paradise filled with paddy fields, banana plantations, and tropical forests. Quite small compared to Havelock, the whole island can be explored in an hour or two. Nonetheless, the island is worth visiting for its serene environment, beautiful beaches, and great snorkeling opportunities.
