ITINERARY
DAY 1
Arrive Chennai
You will be met on your arrival at Chennai International Airport and then you will be transferred to Hotel. Chennai, South India’s largest city, will be the first stop of your South India and Goa tour.
Later in the afternoon, sightseeing tour of Chennai visiting – the National Art Gallery & Museum, Fort St George, a drive along the Marina Beach, St. Mary’s church and Mylapore Temple.
Overnight in Chennai.
DAY 2
Chennai – Tirupati – Chennai ( BY Surface approx 3.5 hrs drive –one way )
Day trip to Tirupati temple and later come back to hotel.
Tirupati is located in Andhra Pradesh. Tirupati is an ancient Hindu temple town having historical references in Puranas. The temple of Lord Venkateswara is located on the Tirumala hill and Tirupati is at the footsteps of the Tirumala hills. Every day around 1 lakh people visit this place. It has great reputation for famous temples.
DAY 3
Chennai – Mahabalipuram (60 kms / 1 ½ hrs)
After breakfast depart for Mahabalipuram by road. On your arrival, check in at the MGM Beach Resort. Later , sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram, well known for their Rock Temples, sculptures and the world’s largest stone bas relief. The fantastic Shore Temples are among the most talked about and most photographed monuments in the country.
Overnight in Mahabalipuram.
DAY 4
Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry (95 kms / 02 hrs)
After breakfast depart for Pondicherry by road. Pondicherry, a French colony till 1954, it borders the ocean & still has a distinctly French flavor to it with its Mediterranean waterfront & cobbled streets. On your arrival in Pondicherry check in at Hotel Le Dupleix.

DAY 5
In Pondicherry
Breakfast at the hotel followed by a half day sightseeing tour of Pondicherry visiting The Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville and The Matri Mandir.

DAY 6
Pondicherry – Thanjavur – Trichy (255 kms / 06 hrs)
After breakfast depart for Trichy by road en-route sightseeing Thanjavur visiting – the Brahadeeswara and other temples from the Chola dynasty. After sightseeing depart for Trichy by road. Trichy, once the Chola citadel was also briefly ruled by the Pallavas and the Pandyas, is another famous temple town of Tamil Nadu. On your arrival in Trichy, check in at Hotel Sangam.

DAY 7
In Trichy
Breakfast at the hotel followed by a half day sightseeing tour of Trichy visiting the Rock Fort Temple and the Island of Srirangam.

DAY 8
Trichy – Madurai (250 kms / 05 hrs)
After breakfast depart for Madurai by road. Madurai, the city known for its rich heritage, culture and historical background, most famous for the Meenakshi Temple, is another stop on your South India and Goa Tour package. On your arrival in Madurai, check in at Hotel Heritage Madurai. Later in the evening, witness Temple ceremony at the Meenakshi Temple.

DAY 9
Madurai- Kanyakumari
Post breakfast drive to Kanyakumari, the ‘Land’s End ‘ of India is at the confluence of the Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea. It is famous for its peaceful and stunning natural environment and the multi-colored sand is a unique feature of the beach. Enroute stop at the famous wooden palace at Padmanabhapuram spread over a sprawling area of 6 acres. On display in this palace are many antiquities, including the armoury of the royal family of Travancore. Capital of Travancore until 1798 A.D. Visit the Vivekananda memorial, dedicated to the Indian philosopher, Swami Vivekananda, who is said to have meditated here before setting out as one of India’s most important religious crusaders. There is a Dhyana (meditation) Mandapam for one to sit in a serene atmosphere and meditate. This memorial is on two rocky islands projecting from the sea about 400 m offshore. On return, visit the Gandhi Memorial. Drive back to your hotel after a long & interesting day of cultural & historical experience.

DAY 10
Kanykumari – Trivandrum ( BY Surface approx 3 hrs drive )
Post breakfast drive to Trivandrum by surface and on arrival transfer to hotel.
In the afternoon explore the temples of Trivandrum visiting the Padmanabha Swamy temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Exquisite carvings and age old murals adorn the walls of the temple also visit Napier Museum, This is a 19th century monument which comprises of a collection which is quite rare and unique. Considered to be an important destination amongst the tourist attractions of Thiruvananthapuram it reflects the features of Indo Saracenic architecture.
DAY 11
Leave Trivandrum ( BY Flight )
In time transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.
