DAY 2

Delhi Tour

Enjoy morning healthy breakfast at The Oberoi hotel after you’ll proceed to the A guided tour of New Delhi. You will visit Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was built in 1192 by Turk ruler Qutub-Ud-Din Aibak. You will then move forward to Humayun’s tomb, yet another UNESCO world heritage site. Your next stop is India Gate, built-in memory of the Unknown Soldiers of World War I. You will be driven past the Parliament House, President’s House and other Government Secretarial Buildings, to your final destination which will be Lakshmi Narayan Temple, a temple dedicated to Lakshmi and Lord Narayana. After a busy day of sightseeing, we’d suggest dining at the Oberoi this evening, though we have a number of suggestions in the city if you’d like to dine out (favourites include Indian Accent and Bukhara).

DAY 3

(STAY AT THE OBEROI AMARVILAS, AGRA)

DELHI TO AGRA

This morning you’ll proceed to the next stop on your luxury Golden Triangle tour with Oberoi hotels – Agra; home of the magnificent Taj Mahal, and the exquisite Oberoi Amarvilas. After having had the chance to freshen up over lunch, you’ll be met by your guide to explore Agra Fort, followed by the Taj Mahal in its most beautiful light – glowing a warm orange at sunset. Back at the Oberoi Amarvilas this evening, your Premier Room affords a wonderful view of the monument. Without the restriction of visiting hours, you can catch the Taj Mahal glittering in the moonlight after dark or a peachy pink at dawn. Or, for a truly special experience we’d recommend upgrading to the Premier Room with Balcony – where, as the name suggests, you have your own private terrace with a view of the Taj Mahal. Enjoy a drink out on your balcony, gazing at the Taj Mahal, for the ultimate luxury India experience.

DAY 4

(STAY AT THE OBEROI VANYAVILAS, RANTHAMBORE)

AGRA TO RANTHAMBORE

Explore the 15th century Mughal capital of Fatehpur Sikri this morning – it was abandoned after just 14 years. Later, you’ll board the train to Ranthambore. Though Ranthambore is not technically part of India’s Golden Triangle, it makes a fabulous addition – the forest surroundings are a peaceful change of pace after the bustle of Delhi and Agra, and spotting a tiger in its natural habitat is an exhilarating experience. Furthermore, the luxurious Oberoi Vanyavilas here in Ranthambore is an experience not to be missed: it’s often our guest’s favourite of all the Oberoi hotels, and we’d have to agree! The perfect contrast to the ruggedness of Ranthambore National Park, each Luxury Tent at the Oberoi Vanyavilas is draped in fine fabric, dotted with traditional Rajasthani block-printed motifs. The beautiful free standing claw-foot bathtub is a glamorous touch. If wildlife’s not your thing though please don’t let that put you off, we can always remove Ranthambore in favour of heading straight to Jaipur

DAY 5

IN RANTHAMBORE

Bring the Jungle Book to life today as you travel through the Indian jungle on a private Jeep safari (both morning and afternoon drives are recommended). The most famous resident of Ranthambore National Park is the beautiful Bengal tiger, and sighting one in the wild is a truly exhilarating experience. Even if you’re not lucky enough to spot one, what you’re guaranteed to see a colourful array of birds, animals and plants, peacocks, monkeys, deer and crocodiles. Between safaris, there’ll be a few hours to relax and enjoy your surroundings at the Oberoi Vanyavilas, though if you’re feeling active we’d recommend climbing Ranthambore Fort. This 10th century citadel rests majestically on the edge of the forest and offers spectacular views from its peak.

DAY 6

(STAY AT THE OBEROI RAJVILAS, JAIPUR)

RANTHAMBORE TO JAIPUR

Day six of your luxury Golden Triangle tour with Oberoi hotels brings you to Jaipur, also known as India’s ‘Pink City’. Upon arriving in Jaipur, you’ll check in to the Oberoi Rajvilas and the rest of the afternoon is yours at leisure. There’s not many hotels in the world where check-in involves a brightly painted elephant and a fragrant shower of rose petals, but then again the Oberoi Rajvilas does not settle for anything less than spectacular! The resort is almost a destination in itself, with sprawling gardens and a 250-year-old Hindu temple in the grounds. The signature Oberoi service is attentive, yet unobtrusive. The Oberoi Rajvilas even employ a handful of staff with the sole responsibility of shooing pigeons from the pool! One of the finest hotels in India’s Golden Triangle, the Oberoi Rajvilas is a great choice for those seeking luxury and a royal experience.

DAY 7

IN JAIPUR

A full day of guided sightseeing in the Pink City, today. Begin the day at the splendid Amber Fort, later taking in the City Palace, the Jantar Mantar observatory, and the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). Later we’d recommend visiting Dera Amer for an unforgettable evening with elephants. Dera Amer is a peaceful spot on the rural outskirts of Jaipur, where guests are invited to spend time with these magnificent creatures, helping bathe and feed them, before taking a gentle ride together at sunset. If this doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, we have a number of other unique excursions available, from private cooking classes to hot air balloon rides.

DAY 8

JAIPUR BACK TO DELHI, DEPART

The morning’s at your leisure in Jaipur, to relax and enjoy the hotel or further explore at your own pace. Your chauffeur is always on hand to take you anywhere you may like to go. You might like to take this opportunity to browse for interesting souvenirs in Jaipur’s famous markets and emporiums – when it comes to shopping, Jaipur has something for everyone: from elegant textiles to kitschy wooden camels, even the most frugal visitor is likely to leave the Pink City with one or two pieces tucked in their case! For a souvenir with local fair, we’d recommend a piece of semi-precious jewellery or blue pottery. Your luxury Golden Triangle tour with Oberoi hotels then concludes as you return to Delhi. Here, a room at the Oberoi Gurgaon is yours to freshen up in, followed by dinner at their award-winning restaurant, Amaranta. You’ll then be chauffeured to the airport for your early hours departure. Alternatively, if your flight is departing in the morning, we can always reserve a room through the night for you. This would be tailored to best suit your international flight arrangements.
