ITINERARY
DAY 1
ARRIVE COCHIN (BY FLIGHT)
On your arrival in Cochin, you will be met by our representative and transferred to hotel.
Afternoon sightseeing tour of Cochin, a city till today influenced by medieval Portugal, Holland, and England. You visit St. Francis Church, built in 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan friars where Vasco da Gama was buried for 14 years before his remains were transferred to Lisbon. His tombstone still stands. Nearby is the Mattancherry Palace or “Dutch Palace”. The central hall on the Ist floor was the coronation hall of the rajas of Cochin. Other rooms depict scenes from the Ramayana and Puranic legends connected with Hindu gods. Amazing are the Chinese fishing nets. These cantilevered fishing nets line the entrance to the harbor mouth. They were introduced by traders from the courts of Kublai Khan. You also see the Jew City with the Jewish Synagogue, constructed in 1568, with hand-painted, willow-pattern floor tiles brought from Canton in the mid-18th century by a Rabbi, who had trading interest in that city.

DAY 2
COCHIN – MUNNAR (BY SURFACE APPROX. 4 HRS DRIVE)
In the morning, check out of your hotel and drive to Munnar. One of the most popular hill stations in India, Munnar is situated at the confluence of three Mountain streams-Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 3
MUNNAR
Full day at leisure to explore the hill station. Munnar town is located 5200ft above Sea level. The Sita Devi Lake, Mattupetty Lake, and Kundala Lake are memorable spots renowned for there Scenic beauty. The Eravikulam national park is a rare wild garden of rolling grasslands and evergreen tropical forests. Anamudi, the tallest peak in south India is located here. A top station is a picturesque place with laterite, Rocky Mountains. Where the rare Neelakurinji flowers (which flower once in 12 years) are seen. Devikulam, Rajamalai, Pallivasal etc. are other interesting places.

DAY 4
MUNNAR – PERIYAR (BY SURFACE APPROX. 3.5 HRS DRIVE)
After breakfast drive to Periyar National Park. This unique wildlife sanctuary is about 780 sq. km centered around an artificial lake fed by the Periyar River. In the morning enjoy a short Trek in the forest with a naturalist. Different nature trails traversing diverse habitats form the trekking routes, generally 4 to 5 km. in length. This is an interpretive programme offering an excellent opportunity to watch birds, butterflies, and other wildlife. The trails often pass through evergreen and moist deciduous forests interspersed with marshy grasslands. The trek lasts for about 3 hours per trek. The Nature walk is the right programme to feel nature, hear her whispers and smell her flowers.

DAY 5
ALLEPPEY (BY SURFACE, APPROX. 4 HRS DRIVE)
After breakfast, Checkout from the hotel and proceed to Alleppey. By noon board your private houseboat for the overnight stay.
“Houseboat “experience through backwaters are very unique, but we suggest not to compare the facilities/luxury amenities with any of the star hotels.“Houseboat or Kettuvallams “ are huge, tapering barges which were traditionally used to cargo rice and other goods across Kerala. It has a portion covered with bamboo and coir serving as kitchen and restrooms for the crew. These boats are entirely built without the use of nails. Planks of jack wood are woven together with coir ropes and coated with a black resin made from boiled cashew kernels Modern-day Kettuvallams called houseboats, carry finished bedrooms, modern toilets, cozy living rooms, a kitchen and even a balcony where tourists can laze on cushions. Sections of the carved roof of wood and plaited palms open out to provide shade and allow an uninterrupted view. Cruise through the tranquil backwaters, wider and narrow canals passing by lush green paddy fields, villages, temples, churches, rustic houses etc. giving you the opportunity to view the life on the backwaters –it beats at its own gentle rhythm.You will step into a different world altogether – this will surely be the highlight of the tour.

> Normal Houseboat cruise starts from 12:00 Noon to 17:30 hrs. & the next day from 06:30 AM to 09:00 AM
> Between 17:30 hrs. and 06:30 hrs. the boat will be anchored in safer place (in the lake or canal) for dinner and overnight stay
> Meal plan applied on full board basis (i.e.; inclusive of breakfast, lunch & dinner)
> The Menu will be Traditional Kerala with 01 non- veg for lunch & 01 Non- veg for dinner
> Beverages like soft drinks & any additional dishes items apart from a normal menu to order will be charged extra on actual.
> Air conditioners in the bedroom will be switched on only from 9 PM to 6 AM
DAY 6
ALLEPPEY – KOVALAM (BY SURFACE APPROX. 4.5 HRS DRIVE)
Morning departs for Kovalam by surface and on arrival check-in at the Hotel. Kovalam is a small coastal town in the southern Indian state of Kerala, south of Thiruvananthapuram. At the southern end of Lighthouse Beach is a striped lighthouse with a viewing platform. Palm-backed beaches also include Hawa Beach and Samudra Beach. Heading south, Vizhinjam Juma Masjid mosque overlooks the busy fishing harbor. Inland, Sagarika Marine Research Aquarium displays technology used in pearl production. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 7
KOVALAM
The day at leisure (No transport service on this day).Overnight at hotel.
DAY 8
KOVALAM – TRIVANDRUM (BY SURFACE, APPROX. 1 HR DRIVE)
LEAVE TRIVANDRUM (BY FLIGHT)
In time transfer to Trivandrum airport to board flight for onward destination.
